Email

I’m entering my username and password into the login page, but it isn’t logging me into my email.
This could be a few things, but the common issues are either that the password or username is simply incorrect, the username is lacking the last part of the email address (ex. @mbts.edu), or you may be using the wrong email host. If your email address ends with @student.mbts.edu, then you will use Gmail. If your email address ends with @mbts.edu, you will be using Office 365. Both are student email addresses, but they just have different hosts. Be sure to enter your full email address for your username, such as jsmith12345@mbts.edu.
How do I connect my email to Outlook or another mail client on my computer?
We recommend using the online client, accessed either through http://365.mbts.edu or https://mail.student.mbts.edu, depending on your email address (see here). The online client is simply more reliable. However, if you choose to use a mail client on your computer, you can follow the directions at the following links:

How do I connect my email to my phone?
This technically depends on which phone you have and which email address you have.

How can I forward my student email to my personal email?

How can I reset my password?
This technically depends on which email address you have.

If your email ends with @mbts.edu, register at https://pw.mbts.edu and you can reset it yourself. You also have the option to call or email the MBTS Help Desk and we’ll be happy to help you reset it.

If your email ends with @student.mbts.edu, please call or email the MBTS Help Desk and we’ll be happy to help you reset it.

My email address ends with @student.mbts.edu. When I try to get to my email, why does it bring up my regular email and not my student email?
If your email address ends with @student.mbts.edu, then your email is hosted through Gmail, which you may be using for your regular/personal email. Make sure to log out of your regular email, by clicking your email address in the top right corner of the window and clicking “Sign out.” From there, click “Add Account” and enter your credentials for your student email.

My email address ends with @mbts.edu. When I try to get to my email, it takes me to a different site other than the Office 365 website.
First make sure that you are not accidentally trying to go to Gmail instead. If that’s not the case, you may need to delete your browsers cache and/or cookies. Please see the following link for instructions on how to do that: Clear Your Browser’s Cache


Portal

The portal keeps saying that my registration has been cancelled.
The student portal needs to have pop-ups enabled in order to run correctly. In order to enable pop-ups, see: How to Enable Pop-ups.
How can I reset my password?
This depends on which email address you have.

If your email ends with @mbts.edu, register at https://pw.mbts.edu and you can reset it yourself. You also have the option to call or email the MBTS Help Desk and we’ll be happy to help you reset it.
