Family Housing

All MBTS apartments are equipped with electric or gas range/ovens and refrigerators. Parking is provided for residents, and a playground area is available for resident children. The majority of apartments provide coin-operated laundry facilities in the basement of the building. Several apartments offer hook-ups for electric laundry appliances, and some apartments come with electric laundry washer and dryer. Each apartment has an assigned storage area; either a closet on the deck/patio, or an assigned space (approximately 10’x10’) in the basement of one of our apartment buildings. MBTS/SC does NOT allow pets unless it is a documented service/emotional support animal and has been approved by submission of an Exception Request.

Cost

The housing rates listed below are valid for the 2020/21 academic year. All rates are subject to change at the discretion of MBTS/SC Administration. Lease Agreement term lengths include: the academic year (only option for incoming residents), May graduation, December graduation or month-to-month. The month-to-month Lease Agreement comes with a $100 premium fee and is only available to current residents. Housing charges are applied to your student account at the beginning of each semester. Housing payments may be submitted through your student portal or to the Financial Services office, either in person or by postal mail. Housing charges are an allowable expense with most financial aid. Housing payments are due on the first of each month and late fees are assessed on the tenth. Housing payments are received in the form of cash, check, credit/debit card and may be submitted by:

  • Semester – submitted prior to the first day of semester
  • Monthly – due on the first and late by the tenth
  • Yearly – at the beginning of your contract term, the academic or the calendar year

The monthly flat rate housing fee is all-inclusive (electricity, gas, trash, water, Wi-Fi & basic cable). Public Wi-Fi is installed throughout the residential area. No outside vendors are allowed.
