Spurgeon College Ambassadors

The Spurgeon College Ambassador team is an annual opportunity for a select group of Spurgeon College students to serve the college and gain leadership experience. Students will be chosen each year to lead on-campus events and travel on behalf of the school. With insight from local leaders, faculty, and staff, these students will receive unique experience and practical skills in preparation for a lifetime of faithful Kingdom service.

As representatives of Spurgeon College, Spurgeon Ambassadors must exhibit character in keeping with the honor of Christian service in God’s Kingdom. Ambassadors will be expected to practice hospitality to guests and friends of the college with a servant-hearted attitude and willingness to put others before themselves.

The Responsibilities of a Spurgeon College Ambassador

  • Participate in hosting on-campus events:
    • Spurgeon Athletic Competitions, Fusion Youth Weekend, Student Pastor Summit, and various events hosted by Spurgeon College
    • Select Spurgeon Ambassadors will also serve in program-specific roles: Accelerate, Fusion, and Athletics assistants
  • Participate in weekly meetings, including:
    • Leadership development readings, guest lectures, and fellowship
    • Calling current, former, and future students, as well as donors
    • Write letters and performing other activities to aid Spurgeon College

The Character of a Spurgeon College Ambassador

  • Possess a testimony of God’s salvation marked by the fruit of the Holy Spirit
  • Eagerness to serve and willingness to receive training
  • Desire to work with excellence in all assigned duties
  • Participation in a local church and the pursuit of unity among team members
  • In good standing with Spurgeon College

The Compensation of a Spurgeon College Ambassador

  • Stipend amount of $1,000 plus 1 free class per semester
  • Free class will be awarded at the beginning of each semester
  • The stipend will be awarded in four payments throughout the semester
