Panel Discussion on the Life and Ministry of John Newton

Join us on the campus of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of John Newton’s treasured hymn, “Amazing Grace.” Hear insight on the life and radical conversion of this beloved hymn writer as seminary president, Dr. Jason K. Allen, leads a panel of church history and church music professors and historians to better understand Newton’s biblical theology and inspirational doxology, including why and how the hymn rose to world-wide fame.

The panel will be held Wednesday, February 15th during the chapel hour (10:00 a.m.) in the Daniel Lee Chapel. The event is free and no registration is required.
