Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College will resume chapel services for the Spring 2023 semester, beginning with Convocation on Tuesday, January 24.
The lineup of scheduled speakers includes church leaders, scholars, and pastors from around the country, in addition to members of the seminary and college faculty and staff.
“I am thankful to announce our upcoming Spring chapel speakers,” said Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College President Jason Allen. “I consider the two chapel hours each week to be an incredibly important time for our campus community.”
“We do not take it lightly who we invite to preach in chapel, and I am honored by our list of speakers for this coming semester. These men are qualified and godly men, and I am excited for them to preach to our students.”
The featured speakers will include:
- David Choi (pastor, Global Mission Church, Seoul, Kr)
- Nick Floyd (senior pastor, Cross Church, Fayetteville, Ar)
- Panel Discussion on the life and ministry of John Newton
- Eddie Bumpers (senior pastor, Crossway Baptist Church, Springfield, Mo)
- Ryan Ross (teaching pastor, City Church Melissa, Melissa, Tx)
- Mark Clifton (senior director of replanting, North American Mission Board)
- Bob Yarbrough (professor, Covenant Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Mo)
- H.B. Charles, Jr. (pastor-teacher, Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fl)
- Carl Trueman (professor, Grove City College, Grove City, Pa)
- Robert Matz (president, Hannibal-LaGrange University, Hannibal, Mo)
- Don Whitney (professor, Southern Seminary, Louisville, Ky)
The list of Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College faculty speakers includes Jason Duesing, Sam Bierig, Jared Bumpers, Rustin Umstattd, Bobby Sena, Jordan Wade, Charles Smith, and Ken Parker.
Chapel services are held in Midwestern Seminary’s Daniel Lee Chapel on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Services are also live-streamed on the seminary’s Facebook page and the seminary website at www.mbts.edu/live.
