How is God at work in Spain?
I lead a team of eight people serving with Open Doors in Spain. Our ministry focuses on raising awareness in the church about Christians worldwide who suffer persecution for their faith in Jesus Christ. We seek to inspire prayer and financial support to provide resources and assistance to those striving to remain faithful under difficult circumstances.
Over the past fifteen years, we have seen a very positive response from the church in Spain, with support for the persecuted church increasing fivefold. We have also helped mobilize the missionary movement in Spain through networks that promote missions abroad. Through testimonies of persecuted Christians, we encourage believers to renew their commitment and deepen their walk with God.
How has Midwestern Seminary Prepared you?
As I reflect on my time at Midwestern Seminary, I see two primary ways it has equipped me for ministry. The first is leadership: a strong emphasis on personal life and spiritual integrity has deepened my commitment to care for my own life and guard against failures that can undermine ministry and long-term faithfulness in service.
The second area is my study of evangelism, especially Jesus’ instructions to His disciples in the Great Commission. Through my thesis, I explored Scripture in depth with structure and accountability that helped me stay focused. This study highlighted God’s personal role in mission and the geographic and cultural dimensions of outreach. My goal now is to develop this research into an accessible book for broader audiences.
