The Master of Divinity (MDiv) is the flagship seminary degree, designed for those who want to be comprehensively equipped with biblical, theological, historical, and practical understanding. This program features 16 concentrations to best prepare you for ministry.
The MABC degree provides significant training in the principles and methods of biblical counseling, preparing students for service in local churches, biblical counseling centers, and wider ministry settings.
Global Campus MABC prepares students to pursue certification with ACBC.
The purpose of the Master of Arts degree in Christian Education (MACE) is to prepare men and women to mobilize people to follow God’s call on their lives to use their God-given spiritual gifts and abilities as they pursue their passions in His name.
The MACE is a professional degree directed toward preparing students for disciple making ministries in the church as well as ministries their communities, missions, denominational work, and other related ministries.
The Master of Theological Studies (MTS) is a 45-hour degree designed for those who want to enrich their understanding of biblical and historic Christian doctrine, as well as its application to the church and the world today. All credits from the MTS can be applied toward the MDiv Standard, the corresponding MDiv emphasis, or select other master’s degrees.
The Master of Applied Theology (MAT) is a 45-hour degree designed for those who want to understand and employ biblical, theological, and practical knowledge in urgent ministry areas. All credits from the MAT can be applied toward the MDiv Standard, the corresponding MDiv emphasis, or select other master’s degrees.
The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies prepares students for fulfilling the Great Commission by pairing classroom experience with practice.
The Master of Biblical Studies (MBS) is a 45-hour degree designed for those who want to enrich their understanding of Scripture’s context and original languages. All credits from the MBS can be applied toward the MDiv Standard, the corresponding MDiv emphasis, or select other master’s degrees.
The 36-credit Master of Christian Studies (MCS) is designed for those who want to take a first step in advancing their ministry or who simply want to deepen their Christian walk. All credits from the MCS can be applied toward the MDiv or select other master’s degrees.
Spurgeon College provides a rigorous academic environment designed to prepare students to engage a rapidly changing global context. Our online academic programing connects students to the practical realities of ministry-track careers with the end goal of preparing men and women for kingdom service always in view.

The Global Campus is the home of online programs at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Spurgeon College.
Yes! At the Global Campus, you can earn your Master’s, Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Certificate fully online.
At the Global Campus, all programs are available via fully online classes. In online (asynchronous) classes, you do not have to log on at any certain time through the day or week; you just need to complete assignments by the due date to stay on track.
Watch lesson videos, complete reading, interact in discussions, and submit assignments whenever it suits you—evenings, weekends, mornings, lunchtime, etc.
Other class types (Live, Conference, Intensive) require synchronous (real-time) interaction. While many students choose to take one of these classes during their program, they are never required.
Global Campus classes are designed and taught by a faculty with expert knowledge of their subjects, genuine care for their students, sincere conviction of a biblical worldview, and wholehearted embrace of our mission to make disciples.
Some GC Instructors are located on Midwestern’s Kansas City campus and others are on the front lines of ministry around the world. Some are called to full-time academics and others are serving in a pastorate, as a counselor, or in other contexts.
Most classes at the Global Campus are 8 weeks long. Online language classes, like Greek and Hebrew, as well as select other classes, are offered in a 16-week term. View the full Global Campus schedule.
Global Campus students have full access to competent and friendly support services, including Student Success and Advising, the Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid, Financial Services, IT, and the Global Campus Support team. No! There are zero residency requirements for Global Campus programs. While GC students are encouraged to visit the Kansas City campus (maybe at a conference or for an intensive course), and while we certainly hope you’ll participate in commencement when you graduate, you can complete your program without ever leaving your context.
At the Global Campus, online students enjoy highly competitive tuition rates for fully accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, and other programs. With financial aid available and fully online options, you can pursue a degree from anywhere with Internet access.
Yes! Many students transfer credits from another school to a Global Campus program. You can learn more and see how much of your degree is already done by requesting information from our Admissions team.
Yes! Students with demonstrable prior learning can earn significant credit toward the Bachelor of Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies fully online at the Global Campus.
Graduates of the Global Campus complete a rigorous program that is fully accredited, overseen by expert professors, completely aligned with residential/traditional programs, and relevant to Christian ministry in the church or the marketplace. Many Global Campus students already have significant vocational experience before attending, and our alumni serve in all sorts of ministries around the world.
Yes! Many students at the Global Campus are serving full-time in their callings while they study part-time (2–3 classes per semester). Others are able to accelerate their degree by studying full-time (3–5 classes per semester). Our terms and course offerings make it easy to earn your degree at a pace that fits your life.
In most cases, you must have earned an accredited Bachelor’s degree before admission to a Master’s program. For those with significant ministry experience, MBTS and Spurgeon College can offer a rigorous, accredited pathway to prove your competency for graduate-level study without earning a Bachelor’s. No! Our Master’s programs are designed to benefit every admitted student, whether their Bachelor’s is in Bible, business, education, engineering, etc.
At the Global Campus, students will need reliable Internet access, a secure and updated web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and a device that can comfortably operate a word processor (e.g., Microsoft Word). GC classes are hosted on the web via industry-leading Canvas LMS (Learning Management Software). Certain class types (e.g., Live classes) also require a webcam, microphone, and Microsoft Teams video conferencing (note that these courses are optional).
GC students are provided access to the Canvas LMS and the Microsoft Office suite via their MBTS student accounts. While mobile devices and tablets are suitable for many tasks in Global Campus classes, students should have daily access to a laptop or desktop computer that can operate an updated browser and word processor. Canvas LMS recommends a device that is five years old or newer with at least 1GB of RAM, while Microsoft recommends a device with at least 2 GB RAM.
