Biography
Having come to Christ as a university student, Jeff’s passion is to strengthen and plant local churches in university communities. To that end, Jeff is the teaching pastor for Veritas Church in Iowa City (near the University of Iowa). In order to develop future leaders for church planting in university communities, Jeff designed and directs the Veritas School of Theology (in partnership with MBTS). He also continues his work with the Hope Center in rural Zambia, teaching rural church planters and helping care for orphans.
Jeff received his M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary and his D.Min. and Ph.D. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jeff is the author of Gospel 101: Learning, Living & Sharing the Gospel and Titus: Life-Changing Truth in a World of Lies.

Teaching master’s–level seminary students in Iowa plus doctoral students on the campus of MBTS Iowa is a privilege. This is discipleship for the next generation.
Most of our VST students have come to know Christ through our local church ministry on the campus of the University of Iowa. Watching them grow, mature and direct their lives toward ministry is an incredible privilege.
