Midwestern Cafe

The Midwestern Café is conveniently located in the Mathena Student Center at the heart of campus.  The café exists to serve as a dining hall, for individuals on campus, to enjoy fellowship around meals throughout the day. If you have a meal plan and your work schedule does not permit you to dine during provided meal times, speak with the staff about “To go” options. As well, the Café is happy to assist with special dietary needs.

Monday – Friday

Breakfast: 7:00am – 8:30am

Continental Breakfast: 8:00am – 9:30am

Lunch: 11:00am – 1:30pm

Dinner: 5:00pm – 6:30pm

Saturday

Brunch: 10:30am – 12:30pm

Deli Dinner: 5:00pm – 6:00pm

Sunday

Lunch: 1:00pm – 2:30pm

Dinner: 5:00pm – 6:30pm

The Midwestern Cafe’ has multiple semester rate meal plan options for our residential and commuter students.

Residential Meal Plan

$2505.00 – per student – all meals included (undergrad semester housing fees include all meals)

Commuter/Family Plans
  • 75 meals $615
  • 50 meals $410
  • 25 meals $210

Meal Plan Payments

To enroll in a meal plan, please inform the Housing Office at housing@mbts.edu which plan you would like to select. Payment for meal plans will be processed through Financial Services which is located in the Trustee Classroom Building lower level, Student Services area. You may pay in the following methods –

  • Auto draft from a checking or savings account
  • MasterCard or Discover (an additional fee may be assessed)
  • From your ledger on your student portal
  • Dormitory dweller meals are included in the semester housing fees
  • Financial Aid Deferment is available if there are excess funds, after tuition and fees ($100 deposit required – remainder paid when financial aid is disbursed)

Cafe Payment Methods

  • Individuals with a meal plan use their MBTS ID card
  • Individuals purchasing a meal may use cash or credit card
