Faculty Q&A

The expansion and health of the Church is my passion and is always in view as I teach all my classes at Midwestern. The concept of the church as family permeates the New Testament. In my classrooms, I seek to cast a vision for a flourishing spiritual family in which every member plays a crucial role.

I love having the opportunity to encourage, equip, and empower students at MBTS to love God and love others. Paul’s sentiment in 1 Thessalonians 2:8 reflects my heart for my students: “Being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.” I love connecting deeply with my students for the purpose of transformation.

I am encouraged by the teachable and willing spirit of so many of my students to internalize biblical truths and put into practice what they learn. I believe God is raising up leaders who will have the courage to push back the darkness with the light of God’s truth and love.
