    • Danny Akin

      Danny Akin is the president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He holds a Ph.D. in Humanities from the University of Texas at Arlington and has authored or edited many books and Bible commentaries including Ten Who Changed the World and the Christ-Centered Exposition Commentary volumes on Mark and 1, 2, 3 John.

    • Jason K. Allen

      Jason K. Allen was elected by the Midwestern Board of Trustees as the Seminary’s fifth president on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, becoming the youngest seminary president in the Southern Baptist Convention, and one of the youngest presidents in higher education in America. Previously, he served as the vice president for Institutional Advancement at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky., and executive director of the Southern Seminary Foundation.

      In addition to his seminary duties, Allen has served as pastor and interim pastor of several Southern Baptist churches. Dr. Allen holds a Bachelor of Science from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., as well as Master of Divinity and Ph.D. degrees from Southern Seminary. Currently, in addition to his responsibilities as president of Midwestern Seminary, he serves the church more broadly through writing and preaching ministries.

      Allen and his wife, Karen, have five children.

    • Ronnie Floyd

      Ronnie Floyd has served as the Senior Pastor of Cross Church in Northwest Arkansas since 1986. In June 2014, Dr. Floyd was elected President of the Southern Baptist Convention following his nomination by R. Albert Mohler Jr., President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In June 2015, Dr. Floyd was nominated and elected to a second term as President of the Southern Baptist Convention.

      Beyond his church and denomination at service, Dr. Floyd has spoken at many national and international conferences such as Promise Keepers and has been featured on numerous television and radio programs. Dr. Floyd has authored 20 books including The Power of Prayer and Fasting, 10 Things Every Minister Needs to Know, and Our Last Great Hope: Awakening the Great Commission. His new book, FORWARD: 7 Distinguishing Marks For Future Leaders, was released June 1, 2015.

      Pastor Floyd has been married to Jeana for 38 years.

    • Owen Strachan

      Owen Strachan is a graduate of Bowdoin College (A.B. in History), Southern Seminary (M.Div. in Biblical & Theological Studies), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Ph.D. in Theological Studies). In roles within the SBC and greater Evangelical sphere, Dr. Strachan serves as president of the Council on Biblical Manhood & Womanhood, whose purpose is “to set forth the teachings of the Bible about the complementary differences between men and women, created equally in the image of God, because these teachings are essential for obedience to Scripture and for the health of the family and the church.”

    • Jared C. Wilson

      Jared Wilson is director of content strategy and managing editor of For The Church at Midwestern Seminary. He's the author of the books Your Jesus is Too Safe, Gospel Wakefulness, Gospel Deeps, The Pastor's Justification, and the Bible study resources Abide, Seven Daily Sins, and Knowing the Bible: Romans. His first novel, Otherworld, a supernatural thriller, was recently released from David C Cook.
      Jared's articles, essays, and short stories have appeared in Rev! Magazine, Tabletalk, Exponential's Leadership Learnings, Pulpit Helps Magazine, Disciple Magazine, Collegiate, Family Life, and at Christianity.com among numerous other publications.

    • Susie Hawkins

      Susie Hawkins is a Bible study teacher and ministry wife in Dallas, Texas. Susie earned a Masters in Christian Leadership and a Masters of Arts in Theology from The Criswell College, Dallas, TX.

      She frequently teaches or speaks at women's Bible studies or events. Susie has contributed to several periodicals and is a contributor to the Women's Evangelical Library Old Testament Commentary. She is the author of "From One Ministry Wife to Another - Honest Conversations on Connections in Ministry." She previously served as Director of Women's Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas. She is married to OS Hawkins and they have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
