SUMMARY:Spurgeon Library Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Spurgeon Library Conference is an annual academic conference that engages Spurgeon scholarship for pastors and church leaders. \nRegister Now \nThe fifth annual Spurgeon Library Conference will be held on April 16\, 2026. The theme of this year’s conference is “Spurgeon and Pastoral Ministry.” Spurgeon loved pastors and devoted much of his life to training and equipping them. He had a lot to say to pastors in his day\, from preaching\, to philosophy of ministry\, to congregational singing\, and much more. These topics mattered because they were rooted in God’s Word\, rather than the fads of the day. And so\, Spurgeon’s pastoral wisdom remains relevant for us today. Lord willing\, we will gather this April to consider faithfulness to the Word of God in our day\, through the example of Spurgeon’s life and ministry. \nKeynote Speakers: \n\nPhil Johnson (Executive Director of Grace to You)\nMatt Boswell (Pastor\, The Trails Church; Professor of Worship Ministries\, MBTS)\nGeoff Chang (Curator of the Spurgeon Library).\n\nIn addition to the plenary sessions\, you will get to interact with the speakers and hear the latest updates on the work and research of the Spurgeon Library. For all attending\, we pray that you would walk away equipped and encouraged\, not primarily by Spurgeon but by the Savior that He proclaimed. The cost is $40\, which includes book giveaways. The conference will be held in the Spurgeon Library on the Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary campus\, so seating is limited.
