PMPBC exists to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. The church was founded in 1887, but has experienced its most prolific growth in the past 5 years. A growing job market and an excellent school system has brought many new families to the area. We are an elder-led, congregationally-governed church that seeks to be biblical in all areas of church life. Our student ministry (5th-12th Grade) is composed of approximately 100 students with many more to come in upcoming classes. The Role of the Student Minister
To lead the students of PMPBC and their families into a growing relationship with Christ.
This position reports to the Lead Pastor.
This position will oversee the entire Student Ministry (5th-12th grades) by being the primary point person for High School students (9th-12th grades) and by giving leadership to an Associate Student Minister, who will be the primary point person for Middle School students (5th-8th Grade).
This position works as a team with the church staff to coordinate events, volunteers, and other shared resources.
This position will recruit and train a team of adult volunteers.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
Biblical teaching that is in alignment with the PMPBC Statement of Faith (https:// pmpbc.com/about-us/our-beliefs).
Coordinate and manage the student small group ministry (curriculum selection, planning, preparation, and training)
Communicate clearly and effectively with parents, volunteers, and students. Help disciple and mentor students in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings
Oversees student ministry outreach and service opportunities (mission trips, projects, camps, retreats, etc.)
Submit an annual student ministry budget to the Finance Team.
Key Performance Indicators
The Student Minister will be evaluated on the following three metrics:
1. Students are challenged to grow in their walk with Christ.
2. Volunteers are effectively trained and encouraged.
3. Parents are equipped to lead their children into a growing relationship with Christ.
Dismissal from this position will result from a failure of any of these three leadership essentials:

Competency: (example: poor communication and planning, unsafe environment) Conviction: (example: loss of joy or passion for your calling)

You spend time developing relationships with lost people so as to be personally effective in pursuing the Great Commission and helping the church to do the same.
Formal theological education for this position is preferred.
Regular office hours are Monday to Thursday 9 AM – 2 PM. Our offices are closed on Friday.
Regular church gatherings are Sundays, 8AM—12PM; Wednesdays, 6-7PM.
