Main Street Baptist Church, Georgetown TX
Senior Pastor Job Posting, Summer 2024
Summary:
This is an announcement from Main Street Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist church, located near the downtown area of Georgetown, TX concerning our current opening for the Senior Pastor position.
Please find within this posting a Pastor Profile regarding the general overview of abilities, characteristics, and qualities that we are looking for in the ideal pastor for this position. Next, please find a more detailed description of the expectations for the Senior Pastor position. And finally, please find a Church Profile that describes Main Street Baptist Church’s unique character in terms of who we are, what we see as our purpose, our history, and our earnest desire to be exceedingly fruitful with respect to God’s intent and purpose for His church, and the ways we’ve been actively serving Him in the past.
Presently, like many churches, we were impacted greatly by the pandemic and we are working to build ourselves back up again. We need a senior pastor who has the leadership skills, the energy, and the heart for His precious ones of all ages that can help us do that, setting things into order, and help bring us back from the downturn and help us grow and expand our ministry wisely and appropriately.
We are a church that loves the Word of God and the Gospel of Christ explained and we love to hear it well-spoken from the pulpit with authority and clarity. The successful candidate would be able to teach the new believer and old, even having a good word for those with years of experience teaching the Bible. We have been a humble church having open hearts to those who are looking for “home” in the body of Christ to grow with us as we grow in the maturity of Jesus Christ and we’d like to stay that way while we build up the family of God for Christ’s sake.
If you understand and are enthusiastic about all of what Jesus’ commands in the Great Commission and how Ephesians 4:1-16 instructs us how to conduct ourselves in our work in the ministry, and the vital importance of us obeying Christ’s command concerning loving one another as described in John 15:1-17, and doing this with a humble open heart. And If you can be diligent in the essential things, allow freedom in the non-essentials, and offering grace to all, then we would be very interested in speaking with you about this full time position that is accompanied by benefits as part of the compensation package.
If you are interested and believe you are a good fit for this position, please provide a little bit about yourself and your contact information, and send us your resume. Please contact us through the following email address: [email protected]
