Job Title: Kids Minister at Hays Hills Baptist Church
The Kids Minister is responsible for overseeing and leading the kid’s ministry of the church. They will work closely with the Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, Childcare Coordinator, and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of duties and responsibilities. They will also be responsible for providing care and support to families with children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the kid’s ministry, including programming, curriculum development, volunteer recruitment, and training
- Provide care and support to families with children
- Plan and coordinate special events and activities for kids and parents, such as AWANA, Vacation Bible School, camps, and retreats
- Lead and host regular parent training events to equip parents to be the primary discipler of their children
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Availability to serve as a warm and hospitable host to all members and guests who enter the church office
Qualifications and Requirements:
- As a minister, must be a member in good standing with Hays Hills Baptist Church
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field (divinity, theology, ministry, etc.) is preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience in children’s ministry and/or church administration is preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well with volunteers and a team-oriented mindset
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time position, which may require working weekends and evenings to accommodate church activities and events
