Job Overview
We’re looking for a full-time Worship Pastor who is called to ministry. Our ideal candidate is a man who is passionate about Jesus, who will provide spiritual leadership, and whose desire is to lead Sunday worship with authenticity and enthusiasm.
Currently, this role involves leading worship with a mix of contemporary and traditional music styles, directing the choir, and assisting with the livestream and audio/visual setup. You will lead worship and equip volunteers, and as our church grows, you’ll develop a praise team, worship band, and children’s choir.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead worship on Sunday mornings
- Develop and disciple the worship team
- Oversee mid-week rehearsals and prepare setlists
- Understand the audio, video, and live stream systems
- Coordinate closely with the Lead Pastor to plan and execute services that point us to Jesus
- Maintain equipment, stage setup, and tech systems
- Cultivate a lifestyle of worship
- Have fun! As a team we like to laugh, and we are looking for someone who enjoys what they do and the people they do it with.
Qualifications
- Spirit-led worshiper with a heart to serve the local church
- Proficient in vocals and ideally one lead instrument (guitar or keys preferred)
- Strong relational and leadership skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and a good communicator
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of First Baptist Church Silverhill and the Southern Baptist Convention
- Seminary education is preferred.
