First Baptist Brandon Internship Job Description
Internships provide practical ministry experience and assistance to assigned staff.
Qualifications:
For responsible young adults looking for assurance of a call to ministry, including:
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Support the leadership of a Pastor Led, Deacon Served, Staff Equipped, Committee Supported and Congregation Affirmed Church
- Confirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as statement of belief
- Uphold the unity of the church in the bonds of peace (Ephesians 4:3)
- Be able to share the Gospel
- Possess effective communication and organization skills
Responsibilities:
- 20 office hours per week and Sunday mornings, special events, and availability on Wednesday and Sunday evenings
- Report to the Associate Pastor
- Assist church staff as assigned
- Embody the spirit and biblical example of servanthood
- Recruit, equip, empower, organize, and oversee volunteers
- Execute special assignments from Senior Pastor
- Develop a competency in FBB Ministry Cycle: planning, recruiting, communicating, training, promoting, executing, follow-up and assimilating, celebrating, and evaluating.
Work Ethic:
- Keep your staff supervisor informed of your whereabouts when you are away from the office.
- Plan your schedule around church-wide events to avoid conflict.
- Be diligent about being prompt for meetings that require your attendance.
- Be faithful in meeting all deadlines given by your supervisor.
Timeframe:
- Start Date: May 20, 2025
- End Date: August 12, 2025
Compensation:
- $3000 provided by the First Baptist Church of Brandon Foundation
- Federal and State Tax withholdings and payment schedule will be established at the time of hire through the FBB Financial Office.
