Children’s Pastor

Fellowship Olathe is looking for a Full-time Children’s Pastor to join our team.

Reporting to: Senior Pastor

Summary: The Children’s Pastor will oversee the staff of Early Childhood and Elementary.  The Children’s Pastor will implement cohesive plans and systems for discipleship across E.C. and Elementary ministries.  The Children’s Pastor will ensure parents have opportunities and resources to disciple their children.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Execute the vision, values, and direction of Fellowship Olathe in all family ministries.
• Champion and advocate for all family ministries.
• Oversee and develop the staff in Early Childhood and Elementary.
• Gauge ministry effectiveness and bring staff and ministries into alignment.
• Create plans and strategies that foster health and development of staff and ministry volunteers.
• Identify ministry and staffing opportunities based on the growth needs of Fellowship Olathe.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the families at Fellowship Olathe.
• Assist with the recruitment and development of volunteers.
• Assist with the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of ministry events.
• Assist with creating appropriate ministry budgets and calendar.
• Identify and execute church wide family events.
• Participate in various staff meetings as required, including staff retreats.
• Other duties as needed and assigned.

Job skills, education, and training:

• A clear gospel testimony and call to ministry.
• Licensing or Ordination to gospel ministry.
• Ministry related degree.
• Effective organizational skills.
• The ability to lead and develop others.
• The ability to recruit and train volunteers.
• Proficient computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
• The ability to pass a background check.
