Job Title: Worship Ministries Administration Assistant

Purpose of Role within the Organization:

  • This role will serve to assist with ongoing administrative,
    clerical, and proctoring needs within Midwestern Baptist Theological
    Seminary and Spurgeon College’s Division of Worship Ministries.

Essential Duties May Include:

  • Responding to phone calls and emails that come to the Department of Worship Ministries;
  • Helping with communication- and public relation-related projects as assigned;
  • Clerical duties including: photocopying, answering phone calls, taking messages, typing emails, handling inter-office mail;
  • Organizing and taking inventory of all academic office supplies;
  • Helping to file and submit project requests with campus operations and communications;
  • Working with music & worship-related software: Planning Center Online and ProPresenter to help schedule, organize, and oversee
    music-related division and broader campus music activities;
  • Proctor the Music building’s practice rooms and computer lab during the evening and other non-business hours for use by students;
  • To help division professors with the planning, scheduling and carrying out of music-related campus activities
  • Organizing and filing folders, music

Level of Experience Required:

  • No experience required. All training will be done by the Worship
    Ministries’ Division supervisor.

Customer Service Interactions:

  • Limited interaction with prospective students and their families.
  • Limited interaction with individuals from organizations outside of
    Spurgeon College and Midwestern Seminary (i.e. LifeWay, Getty Music)

Customer Service Interactions:

  • Little physical effort.
  • May be required to lift lightweight office supplies, music equipment, and audio-visual equipment.
