SUMMARY:2026 United Kingdom Study Tour
DESCRIPTION:Experience the sights and sounds of historic Britain. Learn about the Reformers\, Baptists\, C.S. Lewis\, C.H. Spurgeon\, British preachers\, and modern missions. Study theology and philosophy\, experience church history\, and engage in evangelism with Dr. Todd Chipman and students & professors from SWBTS and SEBTS. \nUpdate: This trip is now full. \nWhat you need to know:\nDates: July 1 – July 13\, 2026 — Registration Opens 10/31 \nItinerary:\nJuly 1-2: Depart USA and arrive in London\nJuly 3-4: London\nJuly 5-8: Oxford\nJuly 9-12: Edinburgh (Scotland)\nJuly 13: Depart UK and arrive in USA \nCost: Full trip – $4\,500\nIncludes travel\, accommodations\, breakfasts\, entry into historical sites\, & up to 6 hours of course credit (see details below) \nDeposit: A $1\,000 non-refundable deposit is required to secure enrollment\, and final payment is due no later than March 1\, 2026. Attendees who have secured a spot may pay the cost of the Tour in full or make payments according to the schedule below. \nSuggested Payment Schedule:\nJanuary 15: $1\,000 deposit (non-refundable)\nMarch 15: $1\,000 (non-refundable after March 1)\nMay 1: $1\,000 (non-refundable after March 1)\nJune 1: $1\,500 (non-refundable after March 1) \n*$1\,000 surcharge for non-SBC students taking courses for credit\, due with deposit. \nClasses:\nEarn up to 6 hours of credit (at the Graduate or Undergraduate levels). \n\nBS2400 / BS204  Introduction to Hermeneutics\nHT3101 / HT113 Church History II\nHT3110 Baptist History / HT450 The Church\nBS2308 NT Textual Criticism* (Graduate students only – 3 credits)\n\n*requires completion of Elementary Greek II as prerequisite. \nMBTS Doctoral students wishing to receive Seminar credit through the tour will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Such students will be responsible for an additional $500 Directed Study fee upon acceptance.
