SUMMARY:South Asia Missions Trip
DESCRIPTION:Partner with MBTS Professor of Missions\, Dr. Robin Hadaway and IMB Representatives during Spring Break to take the Gospel to South Asia. South Asia is one of the two most populous countries in the world and home to over one billion people who need the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On this trip\, you will work alongside IMB representatives in evan­gelism and disciple­ship. Visits to the Taj Mahal and other religious and cultural sites are also included. \nThe cost of the trip will be $2\,595 inclusive of round-trip airfare (from KC\, although alternative departure arrangements are available for online students)\, internal transportation\, medical insurance\, food\, lodging\, tips and tuition for either (or both of) the required evangelism class or the mission practicum. Students are responsible for purchasing an e-visa for South Asia on-line for approximately $20. \nPlease submit a $500 deposit to the business office by December 6\, 2019 which is the last day to sign up for the trip. The final amount is due to the business office by January 31\, 2020. \nGraduate Students can enroll in either:\nMN-5060 Evangelism & Discipleship /OR/ MS-7028 Mission Practicum \nCollege Students can enroll in either:\nU-MN 201 Trip Personal Evangelism and Discipleship /OR/ U-MS 350 Trip Missions Practicum  \nThis trip is open to both on-campus and online students. DESCRIPTION:The annual New Orleans Evangelism trip allows students to interface classroom Bible knowledge with evangelism practice. It is available to Spurgeon College and Midwestern students. \nStudents can participate in the event as a trip only ($300)\, or they can take one of two classes at their level (practicum or evangelism and discipleship\, $300 + tuition). DESCRIPTION:The C. W. Scudder lectureship brings a guest speaker to the campus to explore the biblical basis for dealing with contemporary social challenges and ethical issues. This year’s lectures are being given by Denny Burk\, director of the Center for Gospel and Culture at Boyce College and Southern Seminary. The lecture series will take place on the evening of Mar. 7 from 5-8pm in the Chapel Banquet Hall. \nLecture 1 – “Is Gay Okay for Christians? The Bible and Celibate Gay Christianity” \nLecture 2 – “Is Transgender Okay for Christians? Three Biblical Axioms concerning Transgenderism” \nDinner will be provided.
