DESCRIPTION:The 9th annual Midwestern Family Christmas provides a beautiful night of celebration and worship through music as we usher in the Christmas season on the campus of Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College. \nSponsored by the Department of Worship Ministries\, this event is free\, family-friendly\, and open to everyone–from faculty\, staff\, students\, and their families to local churches and members of the surrounding community. \nAttendees will hear sounds of the season from our Voices of Midwestern Choir\, the North Oak Collective worship team\, and various instrumental and vocal soloists\, and will join their voices as\, together\, we all sing beautiful Christmas carols! \nA reception sponsored by Student Life and Events will follow.

At the SBC Annual Meeting in Anaheim\, California\, June 14-15\, 2022\, Bart was elected President of the Southern Baptist Convention. A native of Lake City\, Arkansas\, Bart has served churches in Arkansas\, Oklahoma\, and Texas. He has earned degrees from Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary\, culminating in a PhD in Church History. He is married to Tracy Brady Barber. Together they have two children\, Jim and Sarah.
