MTS Saddleback Track

Midwestern Seminary partners with Saddleback Church in California to provide rigorous and practical theological training. Through Saddleback Church’s Global Leadership Intern Program, students can receive their MTS or MAMS degree through Midwestern Seminary while training for full-time ministry or church planting in a local church context.

Saddleback Track Course Catalog

  • Old Testament Survey I – 3 hrs
  • Old Testament Survey II – 3 hrs
  • New Testament Survey I – 3 hrs
  • New Testament Survey II – 3 hrs
  • Theology I – 3 hrs
  • Theology II – 3 hrs
  • History of Christianity I – 3 hrs
  • History of Christianity II – 3 hrs
  • Christian Ethics – 3 hrs
  • Introduction to Apologetics – 3 hrs

The following courses will be completed through practicums in the context of Saddleback Church utilizing syllabi approved by Midwestern.

  • Personal Discipleship Practicum – 3 hrs
  • Basic Evangelism Practicum – 3 hrs
  • Church Planting Practicum – 3 hrs
  • Church Leadership Practicum – 3 hrs
  • Adult Ministry Practicum – 3 hrs

Students desiring to pursue the Master of Arts, Ministry Service degree would enroll in and complete the following through Midwestern’s MAMS program:

  • Theology I – 3 hrs
  • Theology II – 3 hrs
  • History of Christianity I – 3 hrs
  • History of Christianity II – 3 hrs
  • Christian Ethics – 3 hrs
  • Introduction to Apologetics – 3 hrs
  • Disaster Relief Ministry – 3 hrs

The following courses will be completed through practicums in the context of Saddleback Church utilizing syllabi approved by Midwestern.
