Master of Biblical Studies (MBS)

The Master of Biblical Studies (MBS) is designed for those who want to enrich their understanding of Scripture’s context and original languages. Those who complete the MTS will be equipped for Christian discipleship, teaching ministries, or further theological education. All credits from the MBS can be applied toward the MDiv Standard, the corresponding MDiv emphasis, or select other master’s degrees.

Degree Objectives:

1.     Interpret Christian Scripture with hermeneutical and exegetical excellence
2.     Confess Christian doctrine with biblical, theological, and historical awareness
3.     Employ research skills in an area of biblical scholarship for the Church

Curriculum: 30-Credit Core plus 12 credits emphasis courses and GS 1899 Research Capstone (3 credits)
