The Master of Christian Studies is designed for those who want to take a first step in advancing their ministry or who simply want to deepen their Christian walk. Students who complete the MCS can serve their churches more effectively and consider further theological education. All credits from the MCS can be applied toward the MDiv or select other master’s degrees.

Yes! The Master’s of Christian Studies is available fully online or on campus, allowing you to study for the Church while serving the church where you are.

You may qualify for Advanced Standing in your MCS! Students applying for a master’s degree at Midwestern Seminary who have previously completed Bible or theology courses at the undergraduate level could reduce their degree time by one-third.

The best way to know for sure is to reach out to our Admissions Office! You may qualify to have up to two-thirds of your MCS credits granted on the basis of transfer credits. To be considered for transfer credit, courses must meet certain requirements.
