Travis Montgomery serves local churches as Midwestern Seminary’s Assistant Dean of Global Campus and as Assistant Professor of Christian Studies. Before leading Midwestern Seminary’s Online Studies efforts, Montgomery served in a variety of roles at the seminary, including managing church-based theological education and advising online students. He has also been active in serving Southern Baptist churches firsthand as a college and worship pastor, a teaching pastor, and now as one of the pastors of a church plant in the Kansas City Northland. Additionally, Montgomery serves on the board of Speak for the Unborn, a ministry that equips churches to serve abortion-minded mothers and their unborn children.

Having earned a B.A. in Christian Ministry from Ozark Christian College and a M.Div. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Montgomery is currently writing a dissertation in pursuit of a Ph.D. in Biblical Theology at Midwestern.

Most importantly, he is a grateful church member at Northside Fellowship, a happy husband to Lauren, and an excited dad of twin boys—Ebenezer (Ben) and Hezekiah (Ki). Montgomery and his wife enjoy drinking good coffee, visiting new taquerias, and walking their two tiny dogs.
