Dr. Charles Smith serves Assistant Professor of Christian Leadership at Midwestern Seminary. He assumed this role on Nov. 1, 2012.
Previously, he was the Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Southern Seminary from 2009-2012, where he led development efforts, the Alumni Relations Department, worked with Southern’s Board of Trustees & Foundation Board and developed comprehensive strategies to support the organization.
He earned a Business Administration degree from Mississippi College in 2007, a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2011, and a PhD from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2020.
In addition to his seminary responsibilities, Dr. Smith served in varying ministry positions at churches in Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Missouri.
He and his wife, Ashley, have three daughters, Ellie, Annie, and Susie.
