MIDWESTERN EVANGELISTIC TEAMS (MET)
The MET was started at the seminary in the fall semester of 2001 by the Evangelism Professor Dr. Tom Johnston. The team began by going out every Saturday to share the Gospel in partnership with local churches and on the streets of Kansas City. The Lord has truly blessed our ministry. We have partnered with thrity or more churches in the KC area. Hundreds of MTBS students have gone out evangelizing and over 20,000 Gospel tracts have been given out on the streets of KC. The Lord has blessed us by allowing us to share with over 150 people who prayed to recieve Him as their personal Savior.
We now have many more opportunities to share. We go to Downtown KC three times during the week: Monday at noon, Tuesday at noon and Thursday at 4 pm. We still go out Saturday at 9am where we partner with two churches and send at least one team downtown. On Sunday mornings we partner with the ministery at the Seminary owned Covenant Baptist Church to minister to the homeless by providing breakfast and sharing with them.
