Rules & Policies

Requirements for Living in Seminary Housing

An on-campus residence hall and apartments are available for Midwestern students seeking a degree. Upon acceptance to Midwestern, students may apply for on-campus housing. The application for housing is mailed to the student along with the letter of acceptance and may also be found online at How to Apply for Campus Housing. Students in campus housing are required to be full-time, degree-seeking students. This means that a master’s student must be enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours per semester, and an undergradute student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. This hour requirement applies to an individual student, not the cumulative hours of family members.

A student may occupy campus housing during the time required to earn the degree for which the student is enrolled – however, maximum limits apply; contact the Student Development Office for details. Campus housing is not available for doctoral students. Undergraduate Students

  • Single students under the age of 21 are required to live on campus or with a parent off campus.
  • Undergraduate students are required to pay for housing by semester.
  • Students are allowed to stay on campus during holidays, school breaks and throughout the summer. If students are not going to live on campus during the summer, they are required to give both the Housing Office and Student Development a 30-day notice prior to leaving.
