LIBRARY PURPOSE STATEMENT

Mission Statement:  Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Biblically educates God-called men and women to be and to make disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

Library Purpose: The Library supports this mission by developing, maintaining, and preserving collections and information services in order to build a resource base for research and personal and spiritual growth.

Objectives:

The Library will:
1. Acquire, maintain, and provide materials and technology in order to support the curriculum.

2. Acquire, maintain, and provide materials and technology in order to support leadership in ministry.

3. Acquire, maintain, and provide materials and technology in order to support relational, personal, and spiritual growth.

4. Provide learning opportunities for students in the utilization of library materials and resources.

5. Acquire, maintain, and preserve material related to the institution as an archival resource.

6. Provide collection information to the Library constituent groups.
