At today’s service, Midwestern will host a presentation by Lawrence Corley, Director of Builders for Christ, based in Birmingham, Ala. The BFC network of volunteers will join hands with MBTS between Memorial Day and Labor Day to assist in the construction of the Chapel at Midwestern complex.
During the presentation, students, faculty, staff and visitors will receive up-to-the-minute insight into the details of the upcoming construction project. Since 1982, Corley and the BFC network have spearheaded efforts to assist Southern Baptist churches and organizations primarily in the Northeastern and Midwestern U.S. to build quality facilities with the goal of reaching people in those areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In addition to his work with BFC, Corley is the President of CTSM Architects, Inc., in Birmingham.
