FINANCIAL AID - SCHOLARSHIPS
External Scholarships: Many external scholarships can be found and applied for by students independently from Midwestern. The Student Development Offices keep a file of external scholarships that students are free to review, make copies and apply. Students wishing to review these applications may come by the Student Development Offices during normal office hours.

Internal Scholarships: Midwestern students benefit each year from a variety of scholarships donated to assist students with their educational costs. Every effort is made to ensure the wishes of the donor by ensuring each recipient meets the guidelines and scholarship criteria. Scholarships are competitive and are based on three areas: Academic performance, Ministry involvement, financial need. (NOTE: Midwestern seeks to assist many students with scholarships and rarely do scholarships cover all of a student’s tuition costs. Student applying for internal scholarships should expect to look for other supplemental money.)

Scholarship for Returning Journeymen
As a gift, MBTS offers Returning Journeymen/ISC scholarships for returning IMB Journeymen to assist with some of the start-up expenses upon arrival at seminary. This is a one-time, one-year full scholarship for tuition and fees. Master of Divinity, Master of Arts degrees, or the 20-hour minimum required by the IMB are offered. At MBTS, we believe that missions are natural overflow of the eternal perspective and evangelistic heart. Scholarships may be awarded to any student pursuing a Masters degree at MBTS who has demonstrated a call to the ministry. Restrictions on the recipients include enrollment of at least 9 credit hours for the semester.
