Cardoza teaches Christian education and leadership at Midwestern Seminary and serves as the associate director for the professional doctoral program, the director of distance learning, and the associate dean of Midwestern Baptist College, SBC.
He received a Doctor of Education in leadership at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in addition to completing the coursework for a Ph.D. in Christian education, and earned an M.A. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a B.S. from Liberty University. Cardoza has ministered for nearly 20 years in Southern Baptist churches and has taught academically for 10 years.
Cardoza sits on the board of directors for the North American Professors of Christian Education (NAPCE) and is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) and the Association of Doctor of Ministry Educators (ADME). He does consulting work and speaks regularly at conferences, conventions, churches, retreats, and seminars, in addition to serving locally at a cooperating church of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Research interests include philosophy (particularly epistemology and ontology), educational foundations, teaching-learning theory, history, leadership and management praxis, higher Christian education administration, and urban, multicultural and multiethnic ministry.
Cardoza and his wife, Kristin Kay (Post), have two children, Frederick Dakota and Christian Mateo Cardoza.
