Allen brings extensively-developed skills and experience in this area from his previous 16 years of work at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) as assistant to the vice president for institutional advancement, and then vice president for financial development.
He has an undergraduate degree in history and religion from Duke University in Durham, N.C., a Master of Theology degree and a Master of Divinity degree in biblical languages from SEBTS, and is currently working on his doctorate in higher education administration at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C.
Allen and his wife, Stacy, have four chilcren, Bethany, Evan, Leighton and Annaliese.
